Dental Insurance
Dental Insurance can be a valuable financial tool in helping you meet your family’s oral healthcare goals. But we have to think of it for what it is, a prepaid dollar benefit, not really an insurance. Unlike with medical care insurance it was never designed to cover all your dental needs, or to cover catastrophic costs.
Dental insurances plans vary a great amount. You definitely get better coverage the more premium dollars that are paid in on your behalf. Most employers choose how much premium they can afford and select a plan that fits their budget. They may choose to fund a high/ medium/ or low tier plan, which may also affect the quality of care or reimbursement you might expect out of that plan.
Your and your family’s dental needs and desires are another matter. As we have mentioned, Dr. Jim and Dr. Kelly develop a plan of treatment specifically for and with you. There may be differences in what you have decided is the best direction for your oral health and lifestyle, and the dental plan your employer more randomly chose that’s most affordable for them.
The good news is that your employer is helping you fund at least a part of your dental care, thank them. But it also makes sense to use it.

Dental Network Plans
At Generations Dental we work with a number of “in network” plans. We have carefully selected those plans that provide a good balance of cost savings to you and your employer, but allow for the uncompromised quality of care and experience that our patients have come to expect from us.
Unfortunately all plans don’t fit this balance. We are happy to review plans that affect your situation.
But I Don’t Have Insurance
Not to worry. Our office now offers an in-house prepaid dental program, the Generations Dental Benefits Club.

Costs & Financing Options
Now that you and the doctors have decided what treatment options and plan of actions work best for you, we realize investment in that great healthy smile can sometimes be outside your immediate budget.
We can further work with you on what might be your short, intermediate and long term goals for you oral care. We can maximize use of your insurance and perhaps phase treatment over time. If the scope and urgency of your treatment needs more immediate care we also partner with some healthcare credit companies.
We will aid in any way we can, so that you can have that healthy happy smile that you want and deserve.
